Hello! My name is Meta Lobben (she/her) and I am an actor and singer from St. Paul, Minnesota. I have been performing in and around the Twin Cities for the last 11 years. I am currently based in Des Moines as I finish up my degree, and will then be returning to Minnesota to work as a teaching assistant at Children's Theatre Company.
I graduated from the St. Paul Conservatory for Performing Artists in 2021, and have since been pursuing my BFA in Musical Theatre at Drake University in Des Moines Iowa. At Drake I have had the opportunity to train and perform on stage as well work offstage as a stage manager, in the scene shop and costume shops, and in the Fine Arts Box Office. I am also currently president of Drake Theatre People, where I am responsible for facilitating and producing student-led theatre projects.
I have always loved working with kids, and spent five summers as a YMCA camp counselor. This summer I had the privilege of working as an Education Intern at the Des Moines Playhouse, which has inspired my new passion for education. I have since returned as a teaching artist.
Outside of theatre, you can find me reading (and blogging about) good books, crocheting sweaters, journaling, or lounging by the pool.
